WAS Utrecht new techno clubs Netherlands

Utrecht – Some months ago we did an article about a new pop-up club WAS. opening in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The club is located within the washing rooms of the Werkspoorkathedraal, a former factory hall of the defunct machine factory Werkspoor, and is powered by a Funktion-One system. WAS. promised an “intimate pop-up club” that is “all about high quality music.”

Music is our current, we expect our visitors to value this movement. It is appreciated if you are well informed about the programming or have a genuine interest in being submerged in this aspect.

In addition to the focus on the musical programming, the club wants to provide a total experience to our visitors, which should result into visitors who do not want to leave anymore.” “The door policy will be 21 years and over.

But now, several weeks after opening, the club’s Facebook page is flooded with angry reviews from people who got denied entrance at the door. And word within the Dutch techno scene is spreading fast about club WAS. having Berghain syndrome.

With people getting asked all kind of weird questions, beside knowing who’s on the line up (which is perfectly fine). And getting denied access randomly… even if they can answer all questions, or bought a pre-sale ticket.
